Despina Aftosmes is a licensed Social Worker and Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor with over 25 years of experience providing compassionate, client-centered care. She earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Temple University and has dedicated her career to serving individuals, families, and adolescents within the community.
As the founder of TTC, Despina is committed to creating a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore challenges that are impacting their well-being and personal growth. Her clinical expertise includes relationship and family issues, anxiety, depression, stress management, bipolar disorder, grief and loss, post-traumatic stress disorder, and dual diagnosis.
Despina also brings valuable experience working with middle and high school students as a trained Student Assistance Team member, supporting youth through academic, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
Her therapeutic approach integrates cognitive behavioral techniques with solution-focused strategies, empowering clients to develop practical skills, build resilience, and achieve meaningful, lasting change.

TTC is committed to serving children, adolescents, teens, adults, and families through a multidisciplinary mode of treatment through individual or family therapy. The focus of treatment is determined by a comprehensive bio-psychosocial evaluation. This includes the assessment of individual/family strengths and needs by your therapist. The individual/family is an active participant in the development of a treatment plan. The overall goal is to return the individual/family to a level of functioning that fosters both personal and family growth.
