Care With Compassion
TTC is a private organization, located in Briarcrest Shopping Village in Hershey, Pennsylvania, in close proximity to Hershey Medical Center.
I am Despina Aftosmes, a licensed Social Worker and Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I hold a master's in social work from Temple University. I have extensive experience serving the local community for many years as a licensed therapist treating individuals and families. My goal in opening TTC is to provide a safe environment to allow self-exploration in areas that are causing discomfort to your life. My specialty areas include relationship and family issues, anxiety, depression, stress management, bipolar disorder, grief and loss, post-traumatic stress disorder, dual diagnosis issues, as well as being a trained student assistance team member for middle and high school students. I utilize cognitive behavioral strategies and solution focused approaches in my treatment services.
Whether you are in need of some emotional support, or simply want to process challenges you are currently facing, TTC is available to assist you. TTC's purpose is to serve the local community by providing guidance, unconditional support, and a direction through changes you may be struggling with or the turbulent storms of life. The counseling goal is to help with this transformative process.
TTC is dedicated to serving individuals and their families with effective treatment that is tailored to their needs. The focus of service is to assist individuals to achieve their potential through a balanced healthy lifestyle. Treatment will build on the strengths and abilities of individuals and families and coordinate with the resources within their community.
TTC is committed to serving children, adolescents, teens, adults, and families through a multidisciplinary mode of treatment through individual or family therapy. The focus of treatment is determined by a comprehensive bio-psychosocial evaluation. This includes the assessment of individual/family strengths and needs by your therapist. The individual/family is an active participant in the development of a treatment plan. The overall goal is to return the individual/family to a level of functioning that fosters both personal and family growth.
In operating this counseling agency, TTC will not discriminate against clients, or family members on the bias of age, race, sex, religion, ethnic origin, economic status or sexual preference. TTC will observe all applicable State and Federal laws and regulations in the operation and provision of outpatient counseling services.
